the story
As students of The University of Michigan, we identified a need, and saw an opportunity for change.
Products should be free and both easily and shamelessly accessible to menstruators of all demographics!

the stats
A 2019 survey found that 37% of the those experiencing homelessness are women according to Washtenaw County's Office of Community & Economic Development. That's 101 people.
The average cycle uses 20 products, which we can provide for $2!
That means $202 can provide every menstruator experiencing homelessness with products for 1 month
That means $2,424 can provide every menstruator experiencing homelessness with enough products for an entire year of menstruating!

the solution
With the help of our stakeholders, we have gained traction in Ann Arbor. We have implemented pilot programs in local business's restrooms that offer free menstrual hygiene products to their customers.
Proceeds from these programs, donations through our "Period Party" fundraising events, and funding from grants have allowed us to provide free monthly and customized menstrual hygiene product packages to those experiencing homelessness in the surrounding area.
Affiliates include Delonis Center, MISSION, Mercy House, Hill House, Peace House, Blue Leprechaun, Study Lounge Hall, and SavCo restaurants.
